Flaming ArtistThis is a commission I executed about a year and a half ago.The woman is supposed to look like Linda Evans. I didn’t post it because I was somewhat embarrassed by it. I’ll do whatever the client asks, but I don’t necessarily want the whole world to know about it. Now I rather like it. I was emulating EC era Wally Wood to the best of my ability, and I’m proud of how it turned out.
My newly acknowledged freedom in delineating female flesh on January 5th’s entry (drawn on January 5, 2013) lead me to study the work of Wally Wood, who was very good at drawing distaff tush. This is crudely copied from one of his later works, pornographic adaptations of various fairy tales published in “Gang Bang”.
I have titled this drawing, “Alien Thanksgiving”. I was trying to imitate Wally Wood’s inking style, but it ended up looking more like Richard Sala. Richard is cool, but he’s not someone I feel any need to emulate.
I originally drew this to be included in “Dames of the Atomic Age”, published in 2012 by ArtofFiction Press. I didn’t have the time to ink and color it myself. Now I am gradually rectifying this.http://www.artoffiction.com/ArtOfFiction/index.html
