This drawing was executed using PrismaColor pencils, medium gray and black Tombo Brush Pens, and a Presto Jumbo Correction Pen. It done last month as part of a series where I was experimenting with trying to achieve painterly effects using colored pencils. As with yesterday’s of an image created over a year ago, I was trying to depict white body hair on dark skin, a variation on the “silver fox” archetype.
This drawing falls into the “minimal simplicity” category, in that I was trying to make my point with as little detail as possible. It looks a great deal like yesterday’s drawing, was done with the same tools (light pencil, Tombo brush pens) on February 11 2017. I think it achieves slight greater simplicity than the drawing posted yesterday of the same subject.

It was first executed in 2002.
This is a Prismacolor Pencil sketch of the Hulk’s boner. I used black and dark gray Tombo Brush pens to sharpen it up.
This is a Prismacolor Pencil sketch of my ex-lover Enrique, done from memory. I also used a medium gray Tombo Brush Pen for laying in the shadow areas, and judicious use of a Presto! Jumbo Correction Pen for the white areas. I was trying for a painterly effect; in such cases it’s useful to use paint. However, here, I didn’t want pure white (for the most part), so would draw back over it with Prismacolor.

While prepping this series of archival illustrations, I got the idea for a new one, Or to be more precise, I drew this then realized it could fit into the “Down Low With Lou” series with minor alterations. Drawn with light blue Colorerase pencil and medium gray Tombo brush pen.
This is a drawing discovered in my sketchbook/journal dated 1992/12.12-1993/6.23. It is part of a group of drawings done while I was experimenting with seeing how much I could leave out, hence the series title “Minimal”. Unlike the others in the series, I drew this with Prismacolors, as opposed to the Tombo Brush pens of the previous 7. But it’s pretty minimal, so I’m including it with this series.

Drawn from life. Same guy as yesterday’s Daily Derriere, 3 months later. This time he doesn’t have a beard.
