This drawing is scanned from a sketchbook I kept in the summer of 1992. It is copied from an issue of Honcho or Mandate from 1985/86. The photographer is unknown. It is pen and ink and watercolor wash.
This is an ink wash drawing of a butt artistically framed by a jockstrap. It was copied from a photograph in my collection culled from mid-80’s gay porn magazines such as Mandate and Honcho.
Two drawings for the price of one! The first is a sketch from a vintage early 80’s photograph, probably from Drummer or Mandate, done with a Tombo brush pen. The second is from my fevered imagination, drawn with a ball point pen.
This is another copy of an old photo from Mandate or Honcho Magazine(s) from 1985 or 1986. Drawn using Prismacolors.
This was my first drawing in my ongoing “Daily Penis” project, executed on August 26, 2012. I started on the first pages of my inherited American Express Date Book that were relatively clean of calendrical crap. (a few days later, I reconsidered, and went back to draw on the earlier pages). This is a quick, loose pen and ink (and ink wash) drawing. It is taken from a color photograph, probably published in “Mandate Magazine” or “Advocate Men”back in ’84-’86, the 3 year period when I was newly released from my first relationship and had money to spend on frivolities like newsstand gay porn rags.
