THE DAILY DICK, SEPTEMBER 6, 2013

Y’all get 2 drawings today.
These were based off the drawing I posted yesterday. I was getting simpler,
more abstract, with each pass,

This drawing was executed
with Tombo ABT acid free brush pens, of black and various grays.

This drawing appears to have been exaecuted with a garden variety felt-tip pen

THE DAILY DICK, SEPTEMBER 5, 2013

I’ve lost count; I no longer
know or care how many drawings I’ve done in this series. Probably I’ll do more
drawings before I’ve finished posting the ones I’ve done so far.

This
is another photo-reffed drawing, done with sable brush dipped into India ink
(then thoroughly cleaned with soap and water).

Needs A Shave

Just kidding. This is another drawing culled from my daily journal, dated August 26, 2004. I don’t know what this guy is doing hanging around in a towel, but I guess he doesn’t need an excuse.

August 19, 2004

Nothing special, just a fun sketch of a hot guy. I’m going through old sketchbooks, since I’m not producing much new work right now.

New Old Drawings, Pt 2

This is from the same sketchbook as yesterday’s post; this time the drawing is in ink using a brush. I like the hand on the guy doing the fucking. Otherwise, I think it’s a bit stiff, a bit complicated, especially in the bottom’s foreground arm. I was on a Kirby (as in Jack Kirby) kick at the time.

New Old Drawings, Pt 1

Here is a newly discovered drawing in an old sketchbook. The sketchbook was made specifically for pen and ink drawings; it has a coated stock. The drawing is in ink, using a crow quill pen.

Bent-Con Fundraiser

That’s a link to Bent Con 2, the second annual gay comic book convention that will be held at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, CA, on December 3 and 4, 2011.

That’s a link to the Faultline, a gay bear/leather/sm type of bar across Melrose Avenue from LA City College in Los Angeles, California. Next Sunday afternoon, during their weekly 2PM – 9PM “Classic Beer Bust”, they will closing off the parking lot and staging a fundraiser for Bent-Con 2. Part of the festivities will be a silent auction. I am donating 3 pieces of original artwork. This is your chance to acquire a Brad Rader/Flaming Artist original, quite possibly for a ridiculously low price, and help support an excellent cause.

Be there or be straight!
