Another drawing in my Animus Mundi series. The Colossus of Rhodes or something along those lines. Drawing with a blue Color Erase pencil, a Fountain Pentel pen, and various Tombo brush pens.
This drawing started as the backside of a man standing in water but I realized he would be cropped at the neck (I had started him too big) so I turned him into a tree, making him part of my animus mundi series.
As with much of the “Daily Derriere” series, I’m working in an American Express Date book from 2012. The travel destination for that month is Punta Del Este, Uruguay. The beach-front sculpture depicted in this photo looks really interesting. In this face the animus mundi is copping a celestial feel.
I call this sketch, “Shoot out at Butt, Montana”. I executed it with ball point pen and Tombo brush pens.
