THE DAILY DERRIERE, MARCH 11, 2016

I sort of like it; it’s vaguely erotic and abstract. Another Ad Marker test drawing, done at high speed.

This is the first in a series of fast sketches using markers, on a 35 year old marker sketch book. The back story is, I inherited a boxful of old markers and was testing them out. Looking at them now, a year and a half later, I’m amazed by how much I like them. This was originally done in July of 2014.

Another drawing in my Animus Mundi series. The Colossus of Rhodes or something along those lines. Drawing with a blue Color Erase pencil, a Fountain Pentel pen, and various Tombo brush pens.

Twas not my intention, but this ended up looking like Ed Asner, sort of. Not too surprising as Ed Asner was my first love as a 12 year old hitting puberty in the early 70’s. In fact, I realized I was gay when, while fantasizing about Lou Grant fucking Mary Richards, I replaced her with myself and found the fantasy much more successful.
