This illustration is based on the taoist “Ying Yang” symbol. It’s called “Ying Yang 2” because it’s the second time I’ve tried to evoke this symbol when depicting a love-making couple. This time, I drew the image entirely using Prismacolor colored pencils.
The title of this piece is “Night Delivery”. I wonder if the customer will tip.
I drew this while watching a dvd of the pilot episode of Twin Peaks, Season 1. There’s no connection with the David Lynch opus other than time proximity.
Actually, the title, “Blow Job #1”, is something of a misnomer. I have done countless drawings of blow jobs over the decades. However, it is frequently difficult to come up with titles for them if there’s no gag, situation or story playing out. Now I am free to artwork countless depictions of fellatio without having to concoct a title. If one occurs, of course I will feel free to use it; this is all about freedom.
Recently, I’ve been getting into the artist Amadeo Modigliani. This drawing is slightly influenced by the elder maestro’s work, insofar as I’m trying to incorporate flatness and abstraction into my own. The blow-er’s frame-right arm is sort of a Modigliani kind of thing, tentatively speaking; I lack the confidence to go as flat-out abstract as Mr. M. The arcing curves of the blow-ee’s torso is pretty abstract as well, though too spacially dynamic for Modigliani’s oeuvre.
Here are some recent life drawings done earlier in the year at the Tom of Finland Foundation headquarters in Echo Park, Los Angeles, U.S.A.
This is a page from my forthcoming Adults Only Coloring Book, “True Adult Fantasy: Adult’s Only Coloring Book: Horizontal Edition. It’s really coming out! I uploaded the page files to the printer today; copies will be shipped to me in a week and a half!. I will upload the page files to “True Adult Fantasy: Adults Only Coloring Book: Vertical Edition” tomorrow morning. I will have them available for sale at my booth at the LA Comicbook Convention in 2 weeks. As soon as I have my copies in my hot little hands I’ll advertise them as being available on my website.
This is slated for my upcoming adults only adult coloring book. It’s a homage to Picasso; in fact it’s a fairly direct swipe (although I no longer have the source drawing, so you’ll have to accept my word for it); all I changed was the gender of the artist’s models and the artist, which I based off myself.
This piece is based off the concepts of Jack Kirby. I am swiping nothing specific, only the general gestalt.
The drawing’s specific inspiration is a sketch done 23 years ago, when I was in my Kirby-worship phase. When I excavated it and tried to repurpose it for my upcoming Adults Only adult coloring book, I decided to try to imitate more than just the Master’s line quality. I converted it from horizontal to vertical as a simple expedient enabling me to cram more stuff in (the better for y’all to color).
I’m posting both the original and the redo.
Another old drawing repurposed for my upcoming Adults Only Adult Coloring Book(s). I’m posting both drawings. I’m not sure how to handle the lighting aspect (which is so central to the original) in the coloring book version. Any thoughts?
