Hunky Batman at Prism Comics Booth

I’ll be renting space at the Prism Comics booth at ComicCon ’11. I will be doing sketches for a nominal fee ($20 for a single character; $15 for each additional character). Or make a donation to Prism’s Kickstarter pagehttp://www.kickstarter.com/projects/zan/bring-lgbt-comics-creators-to-san-diego

bring me proof of the donation and I’ll do the drawing for free.

Prism and Kickstarter

Prism Comics will have a booth at Comic-Con International this year. I and a number of other LGBT cartoonists will be renting space at the booth for the weekend. To keep costs for us cartoonist down, Zan Christiansen has set up a Kickstarter page to try and raise $ for the booth. The more money one donates, the more swag one will get. I myself will be donating copies of True Adult Fantasy #1, as well as a free sketch, done on the spot, to anybody who comes to the booth with proof that they donated!

Check out the page and be generous!  http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/zan/bring-lgbt-comics-creators-to-san-diego

Piggyback

I drew this last  night after reading “Jaro Fabry: the art of fashion, style, and  hollywood in the 1930s and 1940s”. This is an artbook on the illustrator/cartoonist Jaro Fabry, published by Hermes Press in 2008. I like his work muchly; he reminds me of Peter Arno, who I also find influential. “Piggyback” is my feeble attempt to emulate the styles of these two masters; I find myself unable to match their simplicity or abstractness.Check out their work at:http://www.amazon.com/Jaro-Fabry-Fashion-Style-Hollywood/dp/1932563156/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1306125522&sr=1-1

Hill Billy

Here’s another round of freebee art I did for the dude who ran the Sexpig site. The first drawing was my first pass. My prick-teasing pal didn’t like the squinty eyes, so I gave it a second pass, flopping it and opening the Hill Billy dude’s eyes more.
I like the first version better.
